As Co-founder and CTO, I led the technical rebuild of Schoolinka’s online learning platform for teachers across Africa.
The platform aimed to provide affordable and accessible professional development to help educators improve their skills and advance their careers.
I oversaw a small engineering and design team, defined the product architecture, and established the technical direction to ensure scalability and long-term growth.

About the project
Schoolinka is an education platform offering affordable and accessible training programs to help teachers grow their skills and careers across Africa.
What was needed
As Co-founder and CTO, I helped rebuild the platform from the ground up to deliver a better experience for teachers and support long-term scalability.
My contributions
- Led a cross-functional team of engineers and designers to rebuild the platform
- Defined the system architecture and technical direction using Next.js, Node.js, and PostgreSQL
- Translated educational goals into a clear product roadmap and user experience strategy
- Set up processes to improve engineering quality and delivery speed
Results and outcomes
- Rebuilt and relaunched the platform with improved performance and usability
- Supported over 700 educators who joined during the new platform rollout
- Established a scalable technical foundation for future product growth
